8 Oct - to Heyuan

We're still in the lingering influence of the typhoon... it was overcast, a bit hazy (that's because of smoke, not the typhoon) and a bit threatening looking, but it stayed dry all day.

Most of today on narrow secondary roads through fields and woods paralleling a wide river...

That's the local public bus in the background.
The road was exactly the width of the bus - no
hope of it getting past - not a problem as it had
passengers to pick up so it was slower than us.

Finally at the hotel. A big difference between the Tour d'Afrique and the Bamboo Road is that we've had a shower every night. Today we treated the bikes to a clean too.
