Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat - jewel of the 12th century Khmer empire.
The bas reliefs adorn just about every surface there is...

Asparas - Hindu celestial dancers
they entertained in the royal court of the day
The grounds were well kept - grass cut by scythe...
Angkor Thom, built by King Jayavarman VII in 1190... the south entrance...
...figures on the bridge, the middle one being a restoration...
...and the fifty-four towers of the Bayon temple, one for each of the provinces in the kingdom, each with four faces, reported likenesses of the King.
Ta Proh - this temple left with its jungle overgrowth - it was used in the Tomb Raiders movie.

South of Siem Reap is Tonle Sap and a floating village that has become a tourist attraction by virtue of its proximity to Siem Reap...
These nets catch tiny fish, not sure exactly what use they are put to, but they catch a lot of them, and get them out of the net by hitting the net with those noose-like things. The fish end up in a holding tank.
...and kids with snakes and their hand out - sadder were the mothers with very small kids lying in their boat with snakes on them...
