Oct 22 - Our Last Day in China

It was a beautiful day - blue sky and sunshine, good roads, mainly tailwinds.

Just outside Quinzhou, this massive operation to pump sand out of this tidal river. It would appear that the tide provides a continual resupply of sand.

We got off the highway into a small countryside road...
A sod-growing operation, each piece being meticulously
removed by hand.

Depending on the source, these may be aloe vera or prickly pears...
in any case, a cactus type of plant growing in these frames around
a hillside.

Then there were goats occupying most of the road...

...and then water buffalo.
Closer to the sea are a few resorts
Destination for the night - Dongxing, on the Vietnam border...
it looks as if everything is either new or being constructed
Tomorrow morning we cross into Vietnam.
